Class IV Hazard Zone Analysis & Eye Protection OD Rating
All high-powered lasers on PLT operate in the Class IV hazard range. Whether integrating a 120W JGX3-120 on a CNC router or carrying an LQ1-1000 handheld igniter in the field, operators must establish a Nominal Hazard Zone (NHZ) based on direct beam output and diffuse reflection calculations. Ensure that all personnel within this zone wear wavelength-matched laser safety goggles with an Optical Density rating of OD6+ for the 900-1100nm infrared band, or OD5+ for blue diode emitters.
